The staff is amazing. Every one of them is highly skilled, and nobody has ever said no to me needing help. That responsiveness got me my job a month sooner, and it was a job I look at as a brass ring. Everything I was looking for.
What sold me on the program was the founder's LinkedIn presence and his infographics. But there's a whole team behind the scenes, and that's not something I understood until I was in it. I owe a lot to the client success coordinator for being there every step of the way, and to the coaches for the words of wisdom and for helping me talk about my own strengths in a way I could actually believe.
What gets undervalued is the community. Someone sharing a tip, someone needing a shoulder to cry on, practicing your elevator pitch together. Nobody in this program is a recent grad. Everyone is an experienced professional, and you learn a lot from each other.

There's one advice that really hit me, and I'd never looked at it that way before. Going into an interview, you're always thinking 'I want this job' or 'I'm qualified for this', but you're not paying attention to what gaps they're actually trying to fill. That landed for me immediately. As soon as I started talking through certain things in the interview, they were like, 'oh yeah, we need that, we don't have that today.' I was able to take what I'd built and speak directly to the challenges they were struggling with.
The other thing that stuck with me was staying in touch with people even if you don't take the job. I had an interview that I ended up declining, but the woman who interviewed me shared her contact and said to reach out for future opportunities. I ended up referring a friend of mine to her, and she passed it along to the actual recruiting team, people I'd never met. It's wild how far that kind of connection can go.
